Dr. Lingbin Kong received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Lanzhou University in 2004, and served at Lanzhou University of Technology since then. His research is mainly focused on the design and synthesis of metal oxides and porous carbon materials, as well as their applications for supercapacitors, lithium ion batteries, and other new energy storage and conversion systems. Dr. Kong was the director of three projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project from the Ministry of Education, and four projects from Gansu Province in China. He has published over 80 papers, holds 2 issued patents. H-index is 29.

Dr. Kong is now a visiting research scholar in Prof. Allen J. Bard group. His research will mainly focus on the fundamental study of supercapacitor electrode using various electrochemical techniques.
